Proposed deletion[edit]

I think that an article about the first studio album in six years by a major American classic rock artist who is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is noteworthy. It is currently listed on Amazon.com as #124 in music sales and #75 in rock music sales and that is just preorder. That alone speaks for itself. If I see no replies to my comments within 4 days, I will delete the template. In the mean time, I will be expanding this article as approriate. --Daysleeper47 (talk) 12:50, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Amazon sales are not a reliable source nor do they speak to notability. Per WP:N and WP:MUSIC, the album must have significant coverage in reliable, third-party sources to be considered notable enough to have its own article. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums#Article body for suggestions on the appropriate content the article needs to show that notability (a tracklist alone shows nothing). Might want to start by adding the note that it is his first studio album in six years to the article itself, with proper sourcing of course. :) Will keep on my watchlist and if the article is sufficiently improved over the next four days, I'll remove the PROD myself. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 14:33, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have requested the article be undeleted, and have updated it. --Falcorian (talk) 05:51, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
