Advice[edit]

I moved the article to the correct name according to our style, Tjaarke Maas Among the reasons for not copying from a web site is that even with permission, the tone will not be encyclopedic and the material will not be suitable. And this is the case here. 1. You need exact references for quotations & other sources, and they must be from published reliable sources, not unpublished testimonials, or press releases, or material derived from press releases. Some of the external links here are probably suitable--see WP:CITE for the correct format. 2. Vague statements of praise & artistic merit are meaningless here unless from a published reliable source. 3. Most important, , what is needed most is not tributes, but critical reviews in published sources, and evidence that several of her paintings are in major museums or noted private collections. We also need 3rd party sourced evidence for the solo exhibitions. Again, some of the external links can be used here. 4 The sentence about her death is unacceptably vague. I started the fixing for you, and now I advise you to improve this article quickly, and then I will take another look. DGG ( talk ) 20:14, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dear DGG, thank you for your comments. I followed your advice and improved the article. I actually re-wrote it, trying to maintain the "encyclopedic tone". Now it should have most of the missing information: 1. exact references for quotations from published reliable sources, regarding the critics etc (and I have still more to add) 2. All the solo exhibitions are supported by proper publications (books), dates and names of galleies and the museums, and the articles from the magazines and news-papers, which are the 3rd party sourced evidence for the solo exhibitions and critics. 3. I tried as much, as possible to clarify the circumstances of Tjaarke's death, by telling the facts which we know and avoid all sorts of the interpretations, which might or might not reflect the truth. Unfortunately, we don't know much, which concerns "why" and "how". I hope now its better and could satisfy the criteria, although there is. I guess, there is always exist the room for improvement and I will continua to improve it. I probably now should illustrate the article with some pictures of paintings etc I am the holder of all the copy rights on images of Tjaarke's artwork, as well, and probably should create a gallery on another Wiki page? Another question; If it is now could satisfy the demanded criteria, how should be removed the comments (tags) which are on the top of the article? Of course I would continua to welcome any valuable advice, and thank you again for your help.(Yuryo (talk) 13:26, 26 September 2010 (UTC))[reply]

Death date[edit]

The articles says that "she was found on 8 July 2004", However, her date of death is written as 26 June 2004. Is there a reference with an explanation about the difference in dates? When a body is found 12 days after the presumed death of a person I doubt the exact date of death can be determined. VanBuren (talk) 16:22, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@VanBuren, you are perfectly right. I corrected the article. Ellywa (talk) 11:51, 9 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
