SunPass compatibility with other systems[edit]

SunPass is NOT compatible with E-ZPass or any other Toll payment system outside of the State of Florida. This is a very deceptive statement and should be changed, In fact E-ZPass and SunPass use similar but slightly different technologies, E-ZPass transponder are manufactured by Mark IV Industries Corporation and SunPass and SunPass Mini transponders are manufactured by TransCore. Map Graphic doesn’t match Article[edit]

The graphic on this page is for states with EZ-toll compatible systems, not for states with (in my opinion) actual toll roads. For example, Minnesota is colored in here because of it's "toll lanes," which take up one of four lanes and are free to motorcyclists and cars with at least two passengers. I myself wouldn't classify this as a toll road. I know that the graphic isn't claiming that it is, but I feel that there should be some level of intuitiveness to it; you should be able to expect what the graphic means without reading the text. I'm probably going to change the description of the graphic to be a little more clear if that's alright with everyone. Feel free to revert if you think I'm wrong. Actually, looking at it on a computer, I'll leave it be. On mobile it's at the top of the page and made me think it was a main legend for the article. Now I can see that it's actually at a much more humble place at the side of the screen, next to a mention of E-ZPass. I think there might be a possible improvement, and this could still be an issue for mobile-only users, but I'll leave it be for someone more experienced. Etymology of turnpike[edit]

The origin currently given is that pike is a long stick that would turn when the toll was paid, but is given without a citation

Given that this is not the etymology for the older English term "turnpike", also a toll road, I think a citation is necessary. Manu.apfel (talk) 11:36, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
