Banneret[edit]

The article states "On the battlefield he was knighted as a Knight banneret by King George II, becoming the last man to be so honoured."

Yet the article List of knights banneret of England, which is based on several lists from reliable sources does not include mention of this man. -- PBS (talk) 13:06, 21 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@user:Kernel Saunters you are the one who added the information to the article (knighted October 2007 changed to Banneret,September 2009), what were the sources you used for this? -- PBS (talk) 13:17, 21 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like an very early edit of mine - I would remove it Kernel Saunters (talk) 16:06, 21 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks I will remove it. If a source is found it can always be readded. -- PBS (talk) 19:25, 21 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
This ref alludes to the fact that his knighthood is a myth [1] Kernel Saunters (talk) 12:32, 22 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
