The_hams seems to be the only one praising these 2 shows...

im not the_hams and personally, i think this is one of the best original shows they have ever had on adult swim. this kind of humor totally appeals to me... the simple stupidity of it all. its just great, and i have friends who think that way also.Drumnstas (talk) 04:12, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Neutral?

People who don't like Tom: "The basic criticism made by those who dislike the show is that it is poorly written and animated, thus making it cost very little to produce; as a result, Adult Swim saves money with it, so AS promotes the show with zeal, often giving it preferable timeslots that fan-favorite shows used to have."

People who do like Tom:"This is the essence of Tom Goes to the Mayor - the complete haplessness of Tom and his travails as a hyper-tragic figure against an absurdist backdrop."

This article definately needs cleanup.BenvolioZF 05:08, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

And this condescending gem: "It is worth noting that most of the people who don't like the show are of below-average intelligence and simply don't "get" it's humor." --anon
Ha ha, anon. XD While I agree with that statement, I did not make it, and it shouldn't be there. :P -The Hams 15:00, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Tom's Car

When I went to Poland in the summer of 2004 I loved the little car called the maluch. They're all over the place since they cost almost nothing to own and get about 52mpg. They're also basically unchanged since the 1960s. They're tiny, and they sound like lawnmowers. When I first saw Tom's car I laughed so hard since that's what he drives! Awesome.

The Abso-LUTELY Guy?

Where did they get that clip? Is it someone with the show, or a found object? Anybody know? -65.122.209.147 04:49, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

How stupid is The Mayor really?

Has anyone thought that perhaps The Mayor is NOT a hapless idiot, and actually ENJOYS torturing Tom? Any online theories on this?-65.122.209.135 03:03, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

I think you're getting too deep into the show. --Fez2005 17:39, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

Sprite comics

I have removed the comment that said that the animation style is vaguely similar to sprite comics. For one, I can't make any reasonable comparisons at all (what do they actually have in common except for both being in 2D?) and being vaguely similar doesn't seem to make it worth mentioning. "Is"/"Was"

I think it's safe to say the show is cancelled at least for the time being. It's been almost two years since a new episode, and it looks like it's done for the foreseeable future. I'm changing the opening sentence from "is" to "was".

Mayor's Memory Loss

I have to disagree with the interpretation that the Mayor doesn't remember Tom because every show takes place at the same time. (Found under the "Premise" section.) This theory is clearly refuted by the flashbacks which take place at the beginning of the episode "Vice Mayor" (Season 1, Episode 12). Personally, I find the whole tangent unnecessary. • The whole "Premise" section either needs a complete rewrite, or to be deleted.Artemisstrong (talk) 00:38, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
I feel it was a mistake to delete the entire section. --Goodbye Galaxy (talk) 15:43, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
