Per Australian Dictionary of Biography [1] "On 8 May,[1915] during the advance at Cape Helles, he was blinded by an exploding Turkish shell." and "Under osteopathic treatment he recovered his sight in Washington in 1918" I assume that was Washington D.C., not Washington state. It would also help to make clearer that he was killed in a plane crash in Hyannis, Massachusetts, U.S.A. I found it interesting that he had gone to the Soviet Union, after WWI, and reacted negatively to what he found, such that he "subsequently lectured on 'Communism with the lid off.'" What an interesting life. It would make a good movie. Hypercallipygian (talk) 23:27, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
