Oppose Reasonable information is available for both the band and McDougall and merging her article with the band's may appear oddly placed due to the increased content of one member taking primary focus, where the other members should also be given equal recognition for the band's article.--GouramiWatcherTalk 23:33, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Gourami Watcher: A merge need not be a verbatim addition, but would likely involve trimming content exclusively on McDougall, with a redirect. The fact that McDougall had eczema and performed in her school choir is absolute fan trivia, and trimming that cruft would leave an article primarily about the band. Note how many sources state "Jenna McDougall from Tonight Alive...". Without the band, she would have no notability and notability is not inherited. A single paragraph describing the members' background would suffice, and Tonight Alive is by no means too long for an article (much of it is simply verifiable trivia and factoids, with no regard to paragraph structure: if it was a high school paper it might barely scrape by with a C, and with a lot of red ink). --Animalparty! The comparison made by 195.147.69.5 doesn't make sense, Billie Joe Armstrong is highly notable outside Green Day because he has played in other major and notable bands, and he has acted in roles for notable films, television series and video games, along with a successful stage adaptation of American idiot, therefore making him notable along. Jenna McDougall on the other hand has not made an impact in media outside of her band; she has not performed as a prime member in any other band, has not released any of her own content and has not performed in any major/notable films/tv serials/video games, nor has she made an impact on culture. From what we can gather from the article all we know is that she grew up in Australia, suffers with Eczema, has numerous influences on her music and performs with Tonight Alive, this does not warant an article as specified on WP:MUSICBIO as --Animalparty-- has stated, all information regarding the singer is trivial. Oppose Apparently a page about the band 'Tonight Alive' includes information about the band, all its members and many facts about their work and projects. Nevertheless, Jenna is not only part of the band as being the vocalist, she also has her own life outside of her work. This is a reason that makes it logical and needed that another page only about her exists in Wikipedia.
