chart[edit]

Here is an Elimination Challenge table (A WORK IN PROGRESS) along the lines of the one in SEASON ONE. Feel free to contribute to it and, when ready, put it into the article. JimmB 19:03, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

December 13 Episode[edit]

I had seen the teasers for this show with Stephen Asprinio, so I know where the reference is coming from, but having just viewed the intitial airing, I didn't see him show up at all. I'm incline to remove him from the episode capsule, but want to make sure I wasn't just missing the cameo... Editor Emeritus 04:14, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I put it there originally based on the teasers, but I didn't see him in the aired episode either. I changed it. Wl219 10:44, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks W1219 - and thanks for cleaning up the spotty info I left on last night's episode. Editor Emeritus 22:58, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Finale[edit]

Bravo is teasing the Top Chef season finale as being on January 31, but the Wikipedia article currently has it as January 17. Where did the show order and dates come from? Also, if the show sticks with a norm of one contestant being elimated per week, there aren't enough episodes left according to the article. Does anyone know where the article info came from? There seem to be some problems here and I think we need to correct them sooner rather than later... Editor Emeritus 04:14, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I believe the airdates and episode names were originally taken from tv.com. Wl219 10:45, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks - that makes sense. Bravo is now teasing new episodes of Top Chef starting "Wednesday, January 3" so I'm going to make the edits later tonight if that doesn't strike anyone as too troublesome. Oddly enough, since there are also teasers for a January 31 finale, this doesn't do anything to answer the question about too many contestants and too few episodes. Hostility toward Marcel[edit]

I've moved the following passage that an anon editor wrote in the Ep.11 summary: "Cliff thereby fell victim to a scapegoating dynamic. This dynamic, initially driven primarily by Ilan's and Sam's hostility toward Marcel (with legacy effect from Betty), ripples out to drag in (and drag down) Cliff and (later) Elia, spoiling their chances against Sam, Ilan and Marcel. Neither Cliff in this episode nor Elia in the next, where she succumbs to taking on the same role of acting out group hostility against Marcel, shows any insight into how this role weakens their own performance and competitive standing as chefs. Marcel does have insight and refuses to become dependent on group approval." It reads like an essay, and may not conform to WP standards. I put it here for editors to discuss whether to keep it or not. Wl219 05:49, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Marcelilan.jpg[edit]

Image:Marcelilan.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
