This article does not seem to meet the criteria for notability. "she will be one of 44 shooters from the 11 squads representing the US" hence she may not merit a standalone article. Also this article is an orphan as it does not link anywhere else on wikipedia. References should be cited in text when possible.

Actually she is notable. She is the top junior shooter in USPSA, and sponsored by team Glock. If USPSA shooting was an olympic sport, she be a goal medal player. Of the 44 U.S residents going to compete in the IPSC world, Tori is one of only about 10 on the officially sponsored team.

She's as notable as any other top-tier shooter and thus as notable as any other top-tier professional athlete in any very popular sport that just happens to get very little coverage by major media outlets. As a topic, she cannot be said to fail the criteria for notability by virtue of being part of a fringe topic; the shooting sports are HUGE in the U.S. and she is extremely well-known in that community as well as world-wide. The lengthy lines for her autograph at shooting conventions attest to that.

There may be other reasons to consider her a notable topic but I believe this is enough. If the objection to the article is that it's an orphan, not linked to anything else on wikipedia, that (IMO) is indicative of a lack of care by the author and not a lack of related topics. Glock and Gaston Glock have their own articles. There are at least a couple of mentions of Team Glock on wikipedia and, frankly, there should probably be a Team Glock article, too. Whether this topic could then be merged into that one or whether they should simply be crosslinked is a question for more experienced editors than me. I don't think, however, that there should be no coverage of Tori Nonaka on wikipedia. She has clearly received significant, independent, secondary source coverage that can be easily found and cited. The number of shooters in the world who would automatically assume she'd have an article on wikipedia is impossible to determine authoritatively but, given the popularity of her sport(s) and the name recognition she's garnered for her achievements, I feel safe in suggesting that the number is quite high. Thus, in my opinion the notability criteria are well met.

That said, this article really needs help. The only referenced source is not independent; it's the web site of her sponsor. That's not necessary since she has received extensive coverage in all parts of the firearms media.Benenglish (talk) 16:25, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
