Which short?

Well, the VHS/DVD edition included the 1986 short Luxo Jr. but didn't have any new shorts. Squidward2602 15:45, 30 September 2005 (UTC)

Featured Article?

What are anybody's thoughts on trying to improve this article to FA standard? Naturally, the first step would be a peer review, then we can work on it. Did anybody notice this

On the DVD when the intro to the "which toy are you " game is playing Hamn and Rex are flipping through the TV channels and the unicycle from red's dream is seen on one of the channels.This is what I saw when my brothers and sisters played the DVD game, can anyone confirm this?Internetcrazy 18:45, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Toy Story 3

Redirection??

On the "who does what voices list", when you click on the character names (except for Woody etc), it takes you to the "list of minor characters" page. Would anyone object if I remove these re-routing, as I feel they must be a throwback to when all the minor characters had a page each, rather than sharing one? Super Nintendo

I removed the Martin Short reference. It seemed ridiculous and adding to the fact it was uncited as well, I didn't think it was a legitimate enough claim. Replaced it with your Super Nintendo point. A Prodigy (t•c•m) 20:02, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Rotten Tomatoes

Plot section

There is at least one error of detail in the plot section, the part which reads "she declines his offers and locks Woody in a Blue crate." is incorrect. Woody is placed into a green lockable money box by Andy's Mum. Al then forces the box to steal Woody.

Toy Story 2 Gross

I know it may be confusing, but I saw that in list of highest-grossing films in the franchise part, Toy Story 2 has an extra $5 million and added it to it, making it $490. Should that be added or not? Look at the list of highest-grossing films in the franchise part. Toy Story 2 - "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" (Pop Version)

Am I the only one who noticed the phrasing at the beginning of the Reception section? "Prior to its preceding installment, Toy Story 2 received overwhelmingly positive reviews..." Prior to its preceding installment? That means "before the installment that came before it," meaning "before Toy Story 1." What other way is there to take that?

The reference of the infomation about AFI's 10 Top 10 nomination is not valid yet. Please, allow me to change it to this link: [1]. quote correction?

shouldn't the quote "thinking his mother bought them, and repairs Woody's torn arm" be "thinking his mother bought them and repaired Woody's torn arm"? The toy collector fixed his arm. I'd have fixed it myself, but I didn't know if that was the right way to word it.KellyLeighC (talk) 00:28, 16 July 2017 (UTC)

The current wording appears to be correct. Near the end of the film, Stinky Pete tears Woody's arm, and then Andy fixes it at the end.  AJFU  (talk) 06:01, 16 July 2017 (UTC)

Plot event order

@User:167.135.65.251 Several times you have restored some version of your preferred plot, and several times I've mostly restored the original. Can we discuss it here before continuing? The reason I prefer the previous version is that, apparently in an effort to represent the scene-by-scene unfolding of the film plot, you've mixed (awkwardly, in my opinion) several different story threads. I believe the version here (which makes use of "meanwhile" and keeps plot threads together in separate paragraphs) reads much better than your last version here. For example, from your edit:

"At Al's apartment, Woody learns that [...] along with the other Roundup toys – Jessie, Bullseye, and Stinky Pete the Prospector – he is set to be sold to a toy museum in Tokyo, Japan. Buzz, Hamm, Mr. Potato Head, Slinky Dog, and Rex set out to rescue Woody. While the others are excited about going, Woody intends to return home to Andy."

You could try to rewrite it more clearly, but it's just better not to try to mix the threads. Regrouping plot events in the way the previous version did is just editorial judgment - it's not any less accurate. --Fru1tbat (talk) 19:46, 4 December 2018 (UTC)

Hi Fru1tbat, since you removed my addition of the reasoning behind Stinky Pete's motive, I can understand why you have said its a bit clunky but could you please let know know else could it be included and if so, how it could avoid clunky wording, or should it not be included at all? While I don't think anything else is important for the plot summary, I personally think this should be included because it forms a backstory to the character (if Jessie's backstory is mentioned here and if Lotso's backstory is mentioned in the Toy Story 3 plot, then why not Stinky Pete's?) along with a good reason behind his motive for wanting to go to the museum, as the current wording implies that he wants to go to the museum for the sake of it (bear in mind the plot itself doesn't have to exactly be under 700 words, especially if the film is long or has a complex story for its length, as its just a rough guideline and not a rigorous rule). However, if there is a good reason as to why it shouldn't be included, then I will accept the wording as it is now. Broman178 (talk) 19:17, 14 December 2018 (UTC)

Co-Director

I've noticed that an editor was trying to add "Lee Unkrich (co-director)
Ash Brannon (co-director)" to the infobox but that Sjones23 removed it stating "Primary director only.". I was actually reading the lead when i noticed there were 2 more directors and wondered why they were missing from the infobox when i noticed this. The MoS (as far as i know, please direct me if im wrong) does not state that only a primary director may be listed (Coen brothers early movies listing one of the two as "uncredited"). The same is done for writing credits and even production studios. Unless there is a good reason not to have this information in the infobox, I think we should re-add it.

The editor in question were a few IPs who did the same edits to other Pixar film articles, only to be reverted by other editors. Re-adding them may be a possibility if no one has any objections. Darth Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 13:44, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
