Toyota 1W Engine[edit]

There is very little information to be found in regards to the 1W engine used in the first generation of this truck. Some sources on the web claim, that the 1st gen. Type 73 Medium Truck uses a Hino DQ100 diesel engine. This appears to be incorrect, as I have examined these trucks and can confirm that they commonly use a 1W engine. Possibly the DQ100 engine was used in the earliest versions of the truck or only used in certain configurations.

Could someone who has access to the Japanese Type 73 Medium Truck operator handbook or workshop manual shed some light on this? Liawagner (talk) 09:10, 15 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
