title[edit]

The name of this album is of this album is not "Train of Thought". Train of Thought is a concept, a theme, a rationale. The title of the album is "Reflection Eternal." I don't know how much any of you know about Talib, or Hip-hop, but he and Hi-Tek are not known as "Refelction Eternal," they are known as "Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek." Has anybody on this discussion even heard the album? There isnt' even a song on the album entitled "Train of Thought. "Does any one even knwo about hip-hop on Wikipedia?

Nappybear

it is my belief that the artist is "reflection eternal" and the album title is "train of thought"

when kweli and tek are together they are called "reflection eternal" just like him and mos def are "black star" when together. --Jaysscholar 03:13, 21 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

yea, this confused the hell out of me, I was looking for the Reflection Eternal but got the Train of Thought (album) posing as Reflection Eternal instead.

Reflection Eternal, Mos Def, and Mr. Man recorded 'Fortified live' in 1997

The lable messed up when they submitted this album
I'd fix it but I am being lazy. - 69.47.132.138 04:02, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The album is without a doubt titled "Train of Thought", "Reflection Eternal" is just the name Talib and Hi-Tek uses when they collab...dumb asses...--Tainted Drifter 20:31, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:0008811292324.jpg[edit]

I found Image:0008811292324.jpg and noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. Someone will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If it was obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If there are other files on this page, consider checking that they have specified their source and are tagged properly, too. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:51, 25 May 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Fair use rationale for Image:0008811292324.jpg[edit]

Image:0008811292324.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 03:51, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Release date[edit]

The article gives the same release date as AllMusic, [1] but calls it the US release date, while AllMusic does not. PopMatters gives an earlier date [2] and calls it the US release date, contradicting both AllMusic and this article (if the US release and the release are not the same, the US release must be later). Is AllMusic more likely to be correct about this than PopMatters? If so, why does this article call 17 October 2000 the US release date? Tim Ivorson 2008-08-24

Image copyright problem with File:Album-Reflection Eternal-Train of Thought.jpg[edit]

The image File:Album-Reflection Eternal-Train of Thought.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Boston Herald review[edit]

Transcription using Google News Advanced News Archive Search. Boston Herald (Coleman, Brian. 63. December 24, 2000) review of Train of Thought (2000):

Train of Thought (Rawkus). Three stars. Rapper Talib Kweli has been a rising vocal master for years, but before now he was heard in the group Black Star, where his abilities were obscured by group-mate Mos Def's charismatic glare. Now Kweli's on his own, working with producer Hi Tek.

On their "Train of Thought," he sounds as good as ever, though he spends too much time on battle and brag rhymes that drag him down. When he speaks on personal, political or social issues, whether worldwide or relating to his Brooklyn neighborhood, he lives up to his billing as a hope for positive, intelligent rap music's future.

He sounds great on tracks like the shuffling Mos Def reunion "This Means You," and the guitar-licked "Soul Rebel," with lyrical forefathers De La Soul lending a hand. But he's downright remarkable when he flows with intelligence and leaves his puffed-chest attitude behind, as on the soul-searching "Good Mourning" and the Nina Simone-inspired, supremely well- articulated "For Women."
