To my mind, this is too much becoming a Frans Stangl article rather than one focused on the two trials themselves.Retal (talk) 21:33, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, let's focus on the trials. Also, both the German and the Polish Wiki articles for this say that there were actually 3 trials, mentioning one Josef Hirtreiter as the first accused. He was already arrested in 1946 and got a life sentence in 1951. I'm going to add him tomorrow, might also translate parts of the German version. De728631 (talk) 22:21, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You might add his name, but his trial was not really a "Treblinka trial", but rather a "Hirtreiter trial"; only in the course of the process was his role in Treblinka discovered. For that reason, I did not adopt the division in three Tr. Trials.Retal (talk) 22:26, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Crimes against humanity category removal[edit]

Crimes against humanity is a specific legal concept. In order to be included in the category, the event (s) must have been prosecuted as a crime against humanity, or at a bare minimum be described as such by most reliable sources. Most of the articles that were formerly in this category did not mention crimes against humanity at all, and the inclusion of the category was purely original research.
