Seems like another wonderful article. I’ll post my review here in the coming days. Yakikaki (talk) 20:36, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks for the kind words, and for taking this on. Chiswick Chap (talk) 07:10, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Review[edit]

I have read through the article carefully now and must say that I genuinely can't find much to object to. I will mention a few things, but these are suggestions rather than demands. I cannot see anything in the article that goes against the GA criteria. Still, I'll leave you a few comments/suggestions and leave it up to you to take them on board or not before I promote the article.

Thanks.
  • Perhaps the "Ent" and "Tree species" sections could be merged? A few more words about what an Ent is could perhaps also be useful for the reader who isn't very familiar with the world of Middle Earth.
Extended the description. They really are rather distinct from trees, however. The word "ent" means "giant" in Old English.
  • Perhaps rename the sections "Trees" and "Forests" to "Trees in Middle Earth" and "Forests in Middle Earth", and "Eco-criticism" to "Eco-criticism in Tolkien's writings" or something like that, for clarity? The first two are more about the fantasy world, the last more about using literature to express certain ideas, after all. On the other hand, perhaps it will make the headlines unnecessarily long?
Done. Of course, someone may trim them again!
  • I would suggest moving the picture of Tolkien with the black pine to the very start of the article, if that would be compatible with fair usage. It's a very nice choice of picture to illustrate the article.
Done.

Other than that, I honestly can't think of anything. It's a very well-written article. Yakikaki (talk) 13:58, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
