Sunday Night Heat[edit]

At the moment Heat is not shown on sundays, anymore. Therefore, do not refer to it as 'Sunday Night Heat', anymore. It makes absolutely no sense, if the show is not streamed on Sundays, or at night time, for that matter. I saw two instances of this on this particuliar page, that is why I am discussing this here. Theme Music[edit]

I'm going to delete his theme music section because it doesn't state it's references. It doesn't state whether it's a production song or what...

If it were a production song it would most likely be available on a wrestling theme songs website as most WWE production songs are.

I always state what production music library a song can be found at and this article doesn't state it.

PICTURE[edit]

HOW COME THERE IS NO PICTURE ON THE PAAGE?? THANX. JAY HARPER 02:10, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Resides[edit]

Does Trevor actually reside in Waxahachie or is that just a work? Is there any citation other than WWE? Jdblundell 17:51, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Trevor's Residence[edit]

Trevor isn't really from Waxachie, Texas. I know he resides in Eldon, Missouri and the only reason they have billed him from Texas is because of how much he looks like Dick Murdoch, who was also from there.

Makes a lot of sense as he really is the spitting image of Dick Murdoch. I had assumed that they might have been distantly related (due to the resemblance) when he debuted, obviously I was wrong.--Hndsmepete 20:57, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Trevor's Front Flip Piledriver[edit]

Within the last two months or so Trevor has started using a front flip piledriver, also more famously known as the "Canadian Destroyer" by Petey Williams. While it's pretty spetacular to see a guy who looks like Trevor doing this move, there has been surprisingly little commentary on it on the WWE pay-per-views and RAW. For example, when he pretty flawlessly delivered the move to Jeff Hardy in a pay-per-view match earlier this month, there wasn't as much as a peep out of the commentary team.

So it seems like mentioning the move in the article would be worthwhile, since it's a key move and fairly unique, but I'm not sure the best way to do it. You can't call it a "finisher" because I don't think he's verifiably won a match with it, and I can't find that WWE has even assigned a name to the move (like "The Redneck Destroyer"). You could reasonably call it a "signature move", since he's made it an important part of his repertoire. As far as references, though, you'd have to rely on citing the actual pay-per-views he's used it (two so far). Those are primary sources, though, so if a secondary source could be found that mentions Trevor's new move that would be better. Such secondary sources might exist, as some of the wrestling podcasts for example have talked about Trevor doing the move.

What do you guys think? Dugwiki 17:52, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

SpykeF - It isn't a canadian destroyer or any type of piledriver, its a sunset flip, and is a lot safer, and considerably easier then a sunset flip. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.105.156.116 (talk) 23:18, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lead section fact tags[edit]

I cannot find any sources of "Trevor Stanley Rhodes" or his date of birth outside of Wikipedia and its mirrors. I'm therefore editing out the information that we don't have sources for. Feel free to invoke WP:BRD -- RoninBK T C 17:45, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

singing[edit]

should we mention Murdoch's singing? I know we're not supposed to do weekly updates, but this was a serious change for his character. Herotastic (talk) 20:34, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Definitely not. That has no notability whatsoever. How was it a change in his character? He didn't become a singer. iMatthew 2008 20:38, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe wait to see if this is actually going anywhere? Patience. MPJ-DK (talk) 05:25, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think this is inaccurate[edit]

"As part of the 2008 WWE Supplemental Draft, Murdoch was drafted to the SmackDown brand but he was released from his contract on July 3 before his debut."

I read that Murdoch will be on Smackdown tomorrow. He did in fact debut, just not on live tv. I can't find a source that isn't a spoiler though. Guess we'll see tomorrow. Angrymansr (talk) 00:33, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Real name[edit]

Are we sure his real name is Trevor Rhodes, because f4wonline.com say his name is Bill Mueller. Steveweiser (talk) 12:37, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yea I was going to say the same exact thing, his real name is Bill Mueller not Trevor Rhodes. That was just a name he used with Harley Race. http://www.wrestleview.com/news2008/1215130115.shtml

Interesting. Obsessed With Wrestling, IMDB, tv.com, Slam Wrestling among others says it is Trevor Rhodes. A google search on "Bill Mueller WWE" shows information (pro-wrestling.com, the 2 above, and some others) supporting the above. I have seen both cited, William Theodore Mueller and Trevor Stanley Rhodes. Anyone know how to resolve this? Angrymansr (talk) 16:07, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, Slam Wrestling and Online World of Wrestling are considered reliable sources. WrestleView and pro-wrestling.com aren't isn't.My bad, WrestleCView is a reliable source. Does that help? ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 18:33, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Online World of Wrestling isn't that reliable. They depend on fans providing information, which often turns out to be either honestly erroneous or hysterically fabricated. Trevor Rhodes was a ring name, NOT his real name.

Yep, as of Today it seems Online World of Wrestling has updated Trevor Murdoch's real name: which is William "Bill" Mueller.24.187.134.112 (talk) 20:08, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

PowerSlam has his name as William Theodore Mueller. Darrenhusted (talk) 08:19, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bold text== Trevor Murdoch's name name is Trevor Murdock ==

On the Indy scene, since being released from the WWE Trevor Murdoch is no wrestling under the name Trevor Murdock. A slightly adjusted version of his former WWE ring name.

Resolved

Who supports a move back to Trevor Rhodes per WP:COMMONNAME? Gavyn Sykes (talk) 19:07, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wouldn't Trevor Murdoch be his most common name? ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 07:19, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Trevor Rhodes was his stage name, and to be honest I've never known that was his name. Now he's been released he will probably begin wrestling under his real name. Darrenhusted (talk) 08:05, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
IWA:MS have announced that he will be wrestling for them on the 26th[1], and have him listed as Trevor Murdock at the moment--Apsouthern (talk) 09:16, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Isn't it best when a person has to many aliases to keep the article to his real name. Govvy (talk) 10:23, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I believe moving to Trevor Murdoch would be a bad idea, since he'll likley pop on in the indies under a different name. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 20:53, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I only moved it because he was listed as Trevor Stanley Rhodes, which was a stage name, and the choices were William Mueller or Trevor Murdoch. As he is unlikely to wrestle as Trevor Murdoch again, as WWE will own the tm on it, then his real name seems like the most logical stop gap. But this does not mean I am opposed to a move to Trevor Murdoch, just not to Trevor Rhodes, although he was Rhodes from 2000-2005, then Murdoch from 2005-2008. Darrenhusted (talk) 10:53, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose - Because he will be using a different name and has used different names, leaving it at his real name will be the best thing to do from here.SRX 21:58, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think so. Are you thinking of Ray Gordy? He is Jesse in WWE, and the's the son of Terry Gordy. ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 00:01, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

William MuellerTrevor Murdoch – Per WP:COMMONNAME. This is the name he has had the greatest exposure under. As Murdoch, he was a former WWE tag team champion, while his stints in TNA were insignificant compared to WWE. GeicoHen (talk) 00:11, 6 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
