Need for inline citations[edit]

I notice that there have been a few edits since May 2021 when the requirement for inline citations was added.

I can look through my copy of Pat Hammond's Vol1 book, but I think it would help if other editors could also assist.

I notice that all but one of the External links have been removed. The stated reason is WP:EL which seems to have been correctly applied. But why is 'Tri-ang Model Railways' left? WP:EL should require its removal also.

As the 'bot' has returned to this Article, I think it would be useful to consider improvements soon rather than have the Article considered for deletion by Wikipedia.

I consider Tri-ang Railways to be notable and that this Article should remain. Do others agree?

Not being in UK, I do not have easy access to newspapers. There must have been news items about Tri-ang to Tri-ang Hornby for instance.

Railway Modeller (RM) reported new items, but as RM rarely viewed an item that they did not approve, some care is necessary. Constructor was always more balanced, but I have only a few copies.

I tried a search on Companies House but those online records are too recent. BlueWren0123 (talk) 11:59, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

An additional question: There does seem to be a gap on Wikipedia as the Tri-ang Hornby period has no Article. can this Article be extended to include that period?BlueWren0123 (talk) 04:07, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There's Hornby Railways#Tri-ang Hornby: 1964–1972. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 21:51, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I had seen that but the change in name from Tri-ang to Tri-ang Hornby did not make a substantial change in the type of items. For example Super-4 continued (and was slightly extended), coaching stock continued. Lima was active, but Airfix had not entered the ready to run (1976), and much the same for Mainline. The change from producing robust, but visually basic models, to models that were better detailed had not yet happened. N scale was starting to change the market options available.
Is one short paragraph enough for about 8 years when Tri-ang Hornby was a major OO supplier? BlueWren0123 (talk) 11:48, 23 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Consider revert the removal of a Category[edit]

'Category:Manufacturing companies established in 1950' included G & R Wrenn, later part of Lines I think. BlueWren0123 (talk) 12:26, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
