Review and Edits[edit]

Overall, this article had a lot of in-depth information on behavior and kin selection. I just added a few references and slightly reorganized some sections. First, I rearranged the top section because it was formatted a little awkwardly. I placed the section labeled overview above into the actual overview section common to most articles on Wikipedia and deleted the overview title. I reorganized the aggression section to fit under the behavior section, since it was isolated at the bottom before and fit well with the behavior section. The taxonomy section did not describe the Hymenoptera order, so I added a sentence on that in the section. I added a description and reference to the diet of this bee species in the description section. Plus, a comparative reference in the ‘Lack of Polyandry’ section, because I also found a lot of information in my own bee research about the correlation between disease resistance and polyandry in bees. Lastly, I made a few general edits like italicizing all the species names (which wasn’t done before), reformatted the first three references correctly, adding in a picture, and some general wording corrections.

This article was very well written, in depth, and covered many important facets of bee behavior. The images were especially excellent (exactly the right number, and relevant). There was little for me to suggest, except for the occasional grammar correction, or spelling error. If there was anything that I thought might be missing, it would be a more comprehensive description section, which includes size, shape and coloring. Additionally, if the bees are sexually dimorphic, this might be interesting to note. Also, the actual mating habits of the bee might be interesting to explore. There is also a missing citation in the Colony Cycle section that needs to be addressed. Narayanan anagha (talk) 05:04, 2 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This article had a lot of interesting information and great organization. Moreover, the many sections had equal amounts of information, which fits under the Good Article guidelines. I did make some changes to the wording and sentence structures in the paragraphs. There were some missing words and awkward sentences that I fixed to make the writing flow better. I also included some hyperlinks to the some of the main behaviors, such as "lek", "polyandry","polygyny", "conspecific", and to some species of plants mentioned earlier on in the article. I also checked to see that the references correctly matched the information and that the citations were properly done. Overall, I think this article had a great deal of good information and was properly cited and written.
