Usefulness[edit]

If the pepper is as strong as is claimed, how can it have any culinary use? --72.193.42.119 (talk) 06:44, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If nothing else, a few peppers of a hotter variety can be substituted for several peppers of a milder variety -- for instance, when making large quantities of food. Wingman4l7 (talk) 08:30, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
A single pot can be just the right amount for a whole dinner (2-3 dishes), even for families uses chili occasionally. Vicary (talk) 10:05, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Butch T Pepper and 7 Pot Pepper[edit]

Are these two peppers related in some way? I've seen mention of a 7 Pot Pepper which is one of two hot peppers from Trinidad, the other being the Moruga Scorpion. Seeing as Scorpion Butch is the only other one I've seen with 'Trinidad' in its title, it leads me to believe the two are the same. Is this true? And regardless of whether it is or isn't, I think this 7 Pot Pepper needs mentioning somewhere on Wikipedia. 74.14.146.237 (talk) 01:09, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Was thinking much the same thing between Butch T vs Moruga "Trinidad Scorpion" peppers. Are those two "Trinidad Scorpion" peppers related? If so, how? Are they the same actual pepper? Even if not, should the two articles be merged into a single "Trinidad Scorpion pepper" page with subsections for "Moruga" and "Butch T" varietals detailing their genesis and similarities / differences?
And why is one listed as "Trinidad Moruga Scorpion" while the other is "Trinidad Scorpion Butch T" (different word/naming order)? One would think it would make more sense as "Trinidad Scorpion (Moruga)" vs. "Trinidad Scorpion (Butch T)," or something, but since when does anything ever make sense in the real world, right? ;)

Hey, Arimaboss, what's the rationale behind capitalizing scorpion? Please use edit summaries so other editors will understand why you've made changes. --valereee (talk) 15:31, 29 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
