Hi, i redirected the page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TripleM to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triple_M because it had exactly the same info, but this one had more info, so it was pointless having 2, there was hardly any chnages nothing worth noting here, because the info was almost exaclty the same:)

Triple M vs U2FM[edit]

U2FM is only for one day! Luckly no-one has renamed everything on the wiki. On a personal note, I hate when MMM does these promos (like when it "changed" its music format to a Greek Radio station for about 10 mins) and then reverts back to normal...I was hoping for a permanent name change --Mikecraig 20:37, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vaguely! What's annoying about this rebranding is that it wasn't publicised as temporary - the ads made it out that it was a permanent change. Could be worse. They could be playing Copperhead Road 10 times a day like they used to 6 years ago! --Ninevah 04:32, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why does the article need a blow-by-blow description of the event when a one-liner can cover it easily? On this day the station renamed itself as part of a promotion. There's nothing more in it. The whole run through there is just marketing hype, which should be avoided here. My suggestion was "On 17 November 2006, Triple M temporarily renamed themselves to U2FM for the day as part of a series of promotions for the band U2." before it was reverted. --Rob.au 15:58, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mix 94.5[edit]

Someone needs to incorporate Mix 94.5 into this article. It is part of the Triple M network, despite not sharing the name. It has the same slogans, advertisements (Barry picks the music), promotions ("U2FM") etc. 92.9 used to be the Triple M network member in Perth, and 94.5 was Perth's Today Network station, but they swapped in 2005, I think. - Mark 06:07, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Frenzal Rhomb in banned section[edit]

They weren't actually banned from Austereo. In retailiation to Kyle Sandiland's threat, Triple M actually played "You are not my friend" after a segment discussing the argument between Frenzal and Jackie O. Scullser1981 05:30, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Get This Debacle[edit]

Surely the removal of the Get This program from the Triple M line up was not a debacle? Yes, some listeners may not like the decision but the use of the term debacle is POV in my opinion. Could the section be removed completely (I have tried to do so several times but have had the changes reverted by an anonymous user), as the program was taken off air some three months ago and probably does not deserve its own section anyway? Image copyright problem with Image:Mix 945.gif[edit]

The image Image:Mix 945.gif is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

Change In Format (Rock to Alternative/Pop)[edit]
