Importance marker[edit]

Importance marker
I have been experimenting with this importance marker. I first tried this in Talk:Independence Day (India)/GA1. Please concentrate specially on those issues which have been marked of High importance. Multiple unsolved and/or unanswered High important issues can lead to result GA fail.

Unnamed section[edit]

Collapsed content
  • Importance: Med

According to MOS:COLLAPSE#Scrolling_lists_and_collapsible_contentScrolling lists, and boxes that toggle text display between hide and show, should not conceal article content...– talking about population growth. If you want to expand this list but unsure how to do it, see here for help. --Tito Dutta 18:09, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

DoneMade it unhidden by default. --Dwaipayan (talk) 12:20, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Image ALT
  • Importance: Med

Add WP:ALT in at least few images. Let me know if you have any question! --Tito Dutta 18:09, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In the process.--Dwaipayan (talk) 12:20, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Too many redlinks
  • Importance: Med

The article has too many redlinks. Well though redlink is not bi issue in GA, but I have my personal opinion here. I think a good number of general (non-editor) readers don't understand that red link mean "page does not exit" and they click on it and finally find the page has not been created. It happened with me too. So, please verify this instruction once again: Wikipedia:REDLINK#When_to_create_red_links --Tito Dutta 18:09, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Most of the redlinks are notable entities without articles, such as national parks, rivers, mountain range, animal species, major tribal dances and major tribal worships. There may be some that as such may or may not need an article ( like, Tripura transport corporation). I will go through all of them and update here. However I suspect most of them redlinks are going to stay, as most of them are uncontroversially notable (unless respective articles are created and those redlinks automatically turns blue.).--Dwaipayan (talk) 12:20, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
ISBN needed (if available)
  • Importance: Low

In "Further reading" section, ISBN needed for 2 book (if available), I have tagged --Tito Dutta 18:09, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I browsed a lot for it. I got this result on worldcat which gives the OCLC number, but not the ISBN. Also, google books does not give the ISBN as it is not available for preview. BPositive (talk) 05:13, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Can you give me the Google Book link please? --Tito Dutta 05:18, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Here it is. BPositive (talk) 05:22, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
WP:OVERLINK
  • Importance: Low

I have had a look using this script and I can see multiple overlinks (not very serious problem) like 1) Agartala 2) Assam 3) Bengali language etc. I'll thoroughly check once again. --Tito Dutta 18:09, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

yes, I ran the script and found many duplicate links. Will fix.--Dwaipayan (talk) 12:20, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unnamed section 02[edit]

Citation needed 01
  • Importance: High

Divisions section need more citation, I think, though main article has been linked. I have tagged --Tito Dutta 18:17, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

DoneI've added a couple of more references. Also corrected some figures and did some copyediting. Please have a look at it and let us know if it is fine. BPositive (talk) 05:58, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
More
  • Importance: Low

I have added 2 more Citation needed tag and 1 which tag! --Tito Dutta 01:31, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How about this for the National Games? Tripura bagged 6 golds in the 34th National Games. Is that good enough to justify their participation in National Games? BPositive (talk) 06:11, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Image Files

– source, details! --Tito Dutta 01:38, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

For File:Tripurarice (44).JPG, the user who had clicked it uploaded it, and it is in Commons. I think that is enough. For the other image, we may doubt its source, and perhaps will be better removed.--Dwaipayan (talk) 21:29, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The user is in Commons that is not enough. I have seen lots of his images have been deleted in Commons for source, copyright issues --Tito Dutta 02:27, 12 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
the user being in Commons is not enough, that is true. What is sufficient is the image is under GFDL license issued by the photographer. What other source or details is needed? --Dwaipayan (talk) 05:36, 12 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Added some citations to this section.--Dwaipayan (talk) 15:16, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, we are using British English in the article. There may be some US English by mistake. If you come across any, please feel free to convert to British style, or inform here.--Dwaipayan (talk) 15:16, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That old good java script (engvar) will help here! --Tito Dutta 17:28, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Don't know how to install or use that. Can you please guide?--Dwaipayan (talk) 17:56, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Here]! --Tito Dutta 12:44, 29 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Thanks for the help.--Dwaipayan (talk) 16:12, 29 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have added some more CN tags. For this information Elements of Bengali culture, such as Bengali literature, Bengali music, and Bengali cuisine predominate particularly in the urban areas of the state. I have not added any tag as I felt it might be difficult to collect sources for this, but add citation here too if possible! --Tito Dutta 00:19, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Citation needed tags have been addressed. For the Rajmala sentence in history, multiple refs have been added to serve individual purpose. One reference supports the reign period of the king, one reference directly links to a copy of Rajmala (in Bengali language) to show that it concludes with the description of king Krishna Kishore Manikya, and yet one more ref to show that Krishna Kishore Manikya was 179th king.
For the sentence in geography section regarding accessibility of the state, the national highways list has been used as the reference. The list mentions the course of the two national highways. However, the list does not mention the precise districts through which those highway pass. That those highwas pass through those districts were inferred from district maps of Assam and Mizoram. However, the district maps of the two states do not explicitly show the highways passing through the mentioned districts, as the maps of districts do not show the highways at all, and the maps of the highways do not show the districts! If you think just mentioning the highway list as reference is insufficient, I can cite the multiple maps ( perhaps using cite map template) to build my case. On the other hand, if this is too cumbersome, we can simply delete the names of the district (which I think is unnecessary details) and just keep the the names of the states.. --Dwaipayan (talk) 06:51, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), the Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) – remove short forms from the links and put in brackets! --Tito Dutta 00:21, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Done.--Dwaipayan (talk) 06:51, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Upon completing the required coursework, students may enroll in general or professional degree programs.

– Which degree programs? Examples possible? And citation if possible! --Tito Dutta 07:57, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Explained which degree programs. The usual pattern as in the rest of India (but other countries may have different pattern).--Dwaipayan (talk) 15:25, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
De-linking done. There should not be in duplicate wiki links in the same section (unless automated wiki links such as in INR convert template).--Dwaipayan (talk) 13:21, 8 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'll finish the review in next few days! Tito Dutta (talk) 06:26, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Some information --Tito Dutta 15:48, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I apologize for the delay. I am actually in the process of obtaining some off-line references for this article. I will resume work within two weeks. You can place a hold on it for two weeks, if needed.--Dwaipayan (talk) 15:52, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Solve those CN etc tags issues too! --Tito Dutta 16:14, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
