Could it be possible for someone to make this page look more like the other name pages? Like Andrew or John for example. I would, but don't know enough wikipedia code to do it. Thank youAtebo88 18:32, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

See Talk:Sir Tristan if you are looking for the talk page for Sir Tristan (this article is now about the given name). — atchius (msg) 22:52, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I moved Sir Tristan back to Tristan; that's the most common usage of the name.--Cúchullain t/c 23:01, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree—but I will wait to act until there is further discussion or until I can find some convincing evidence. At least there is an article for the name now. — atchius (msg) 05:16, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine, and it is nice to have a page on the name. Feel free to list at WP:MOVE to generate consensus if you think the page should be moved. However, I don't thing there's any arguing that the character Tristan is not the primary usage of the name.--Cúchullain t/c 08:20, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I did some Googling, and I think I agree with you now. For the record, I'm a relatively well-educated college student and I didn't know Tristan was an Arthurian knight (he's not mentioned in Monty Python and the Holy Grail). I've had several friends named Tristan.
While looking around at some other names (e.g. Aaron), I found that a lot were biographies and there was no encyclopedic information on the name itself… so now I'm trying to get support for WikiProject Given Names. It almost seems absurd that this project hasn't been started before. Interested? — atchius (msg) 05:24, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
