Why this article is notable[edit]
I created this article and believe it is notable because:
- It contains four blood relatives who are professional musicians, three of whom have their own wikipedia pages currently
- Vaylor Trucks does not have his own article yet but may be eligible for one or become eligible for one in the future. The Yeti Trio is featured at many high profile music festivals and are an up and coming band, not to mention his collaboration with other notable bands including ones led by his father Butch Trucks.
- One relative by marriage (Susan Tedeschi) who is a professional musician with her own wikipedia article
- One relative by Marriage (Cameron Herring Trucks) who is not notable or eligible for her own wikipedia page but is the daughter of a very notable musician (Jimmy Herring) in addition to her marriage to Duane Trucks. I think these things warrant her mention in this article despite the lack of her own page.
- One professional baseball player (Virgil Trucks)
Most other famous families who contain many notable people have their own page (e.g. Baldwin family, Arquette family, etc.) and I believe the Trucks family has enough to warrant their own article. If you mention any musician with the last name "Trucks" to music fans in the jam band scene (or the Allman Brothers scene) and they will know who the family is.--Sk8punk3d288 (talk) 04:27, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
