Star Trek/Burke chairs[edit]

These are the chairs used on Star Trek: TOS http://www.cloudster.com/Sets&Vehicles/STEnterprise/Burke_Chair/BurkeChairsTop.htm The chairs used in "The Cage" and "Where no Man has Gone Before" were not modified. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bizzybody (talkcontribs) 03:57, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Link is dead, here's another. http://blog.mid2mod.com/2011/07/burke-chairs-and-star-trek-debate.html Note the Matt Jeffries drawing that has modified Burke written on it. I've read that they wanted to use the Tulip chairs but they were too expensive, so they used the Burke copies. If we're voting on removing that section, I vote yes because it's easy to tell by watching the show the chairs are not Tulips because the bases are not round. Agreed. Here's more proof that the Tulip wasn't used: https://propstore.com/product/star-trek-the-original-series/original-uss-enterprise-bridge-chair-signed-by-george-takei http://www.filmandfurniture.com/2014/11/startrek-tulip-chair/ http://antiquerestorers.com/cgi-bin/bbs/furn/config.pl?read=8560 I'm therefore removing this section.
