"In Johnston’s rogue gallery are of course figures such as Yüan Shih-k’ai (Yuan Shikai, 1859-1916). Also included is the father of China’s modernization himself, Sun Yat-sen (1866-1925) and the many seemingly deluded student activists with their Communist affiliations. A persistent and nefarious influence, according to Johnston, was of course the Soviets." Why was this deleted? All of the above is simply Johnston and not me. Iwanafish

Biased article[edit]

--Akhenathon 00:50, 12 November 2007 (UTC)This is a bad article. "Johnston wishes us to believe..."; "was of course the soviets", "...is perhaps a result of the film...". The author gives a very biased impression about the work of Johnston. This is a good text for a website signed by the Chinese Communist Party, not for an article of a so-called Encyclopedia. Please someone improve it.[reply]
