Article Overhaul

Edited a couple of Season Five episode titles. Will overhaul the article soon. If anybody has any idea what a full, in-depth article for a sitcom should look like please give me some examples. Gs83 00:05, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

Me too, I've seen every episode at least twice (insomnia is a lonely thing...) so ifthere's any help you need, just ask. I think that some mention should be made of that fact that unusually for a sitcom, the story arcs span over complete series, and even between series, with even minor characters (Kate, David, Kelly) given a lot of airtime and to be seen to develop e.g. kelly goes from a sycophantic dim bakery worker to a predatory slut barmaid, while Kate went from a forward seemingy prim barmaid, to quickly becoming a controlling needy freak chrisboote 12:07, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

Major plots Ep6.6

At the end of 6.6 Gaz find out that he's been 'shooting blanks'. Does this mean that Corinthian is Johnny's son? This could possibly be put in major plots - or does it need to be comfirmed? (Anyone seen 6.7 this may help us) TheTallOne 18:52, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

Episode Guide

I improved on the episode guide providing synopsises for the episodes. Some parts may need a clean up, but I think that it's mostly good. I've amended the wording referring to the lack of a laughter track on the Horror Special. Clearly it was too technically complex to have been shot in front of an audience, unlike the rest of the series - I've been in the audience for a few episodes in the past, and it takes long enough to do a "normal" one! BBC/TV Licence

Who ever it was at the bbc that scrapped two pints of lager,they need shooting,absolutely brilliant series,but scrapping the good stuff and keeping the crap,that what the bbc do best,god knows what we keep paying for a licence every year,for what ???

It's not "only in the UK" - virtually every European country (and a few non-European ones) has a licence fee. Some even retain a separate radio licence. Nick Cooper 18:00, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

Jonny or Joney?

I just thought I'd bring this up. In the Musical Special, at the start where Janet is about to leave, she leaves a letter. The letter reads "Joney". Having just checked my DVD recording, the letter definitely says "Jonny" although the letters are very small on the screen, so anyone relying on a small screen and/or a poor quality recording or reception might be mistaken. Nick Cooper 16:53, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

Original Channel

The article says the original channel is BBC Three, yet the first series was shown before BBC Three came into existane. Wouldnt the original channel therefore be BBC Two? 172.209.73.211 17:49, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Good point. Having checked the appropriate copies of Radio Times, Series 1 debuted on BBC Two, with the episodes being repeated on BBC Choice the following day. Series 2 was first shown on BBC Choice, which had been replaced with BBC Three just before Series 3 started. I'll change the page accordingly. Nick Cooper

Designated coconut?

Under the Character bios, Jonny is listed on wiki (and a few sites) as liking "Designated Coconut". I'm not a big enough fan of the show (haven't seen them all :-)) so I might have missed this reference, if it is a reference...I almost corrected it as a typo. Does anyone here know if it is a typo or a reference?

BTW Wikipedia, check out http://www.sitcom.co.uk/two_pints/characters.shtml ...either you're breaking copyright laws by stealing their material or vice versa :-)

There does seem to be a page on Wikipedia dedicated to the Two Pints Musical Special but I don't agree it should have a whole page to itself and overall think the article is quite badly written; even the title is non-helpful to those Wikipedians who have never even heard of Two Pints nquinnathome1 22:08, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

That page is a recent addition and seem incredibly unencyclopedic, both in the page name as simply "Musical Special" - which one would assume is too broad for this single example - its poor structure, and the factuial errors it contains. Nick Cooper 07:19, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Copyright dates

Would whoever keeps putting in the detail about the mis-match between the copyright date at the end of first series episodes and the transmission dates please stop doing so. All of the completely untrue stuff removed. Series 8 has not been mentioned and there is no proof of viewing figures for Series 6 being "low". I'll think you will find that it has a rather large, wide range audience. I watch it (I'm 14), and most of my friends do to. We are still in school. I also know many people who watch it who are in their 30s and 40s. Don't make childish comments just because you don't like a show.
