Marshall Islands or the Marshall Islands? I've always heard it with the definite article?

Do you really mean to link Micronesia? Or the modern day Federated States of Micronesia? "In the sentence The storm began to rapidly intensify, as it moved north of Micronesia.")

"Hester began to curve eastward and began to weaken rapidly." Try to avoid using "began" twice in one sentence.

Non-fatal injuries are also casualties, so you have the wrong word in "Overall, eighteen people were injured on Enewetak, and there were no casualties." You mean no fatalities.
