A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on June 14, 2015.
The text of the entry was: Did you know ... that U.S. Highway 12 followed the route of the St. Joseph Trail until 1962, and since then it has followed the Sauk Trail, two former Indian trails in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan?

Business US 12 Ypsilanti length[edit]

The length given for current Business US 12 is 8.020 miles, which is the same length given to former Bus. US 112. But Bus. US 112 followed Michigan Avenue westward from downtown to I-94 Exit 181, which is not the current routing. While Bus. US 12 did assume that original routing when US 112 was cancelled in 1962, it assumed its current routing via the one-way couplet of Hamilton and Huron Streets in 1971. PR Finder defines Bus. US 12 by the current route, from the intersection of the eastbound exit ramp and Huron Street to the junction of Michigan Avenue and US 12 west of Denton Road, with the eastbound length measuring 5.334 miles and the westbound length measuring 5.867 miles. I don't know if the info box can be adjusted to show the differing lengths, but 8.020 miles is definitely wrong as the route is currently defined. 38.122.60.10 (talk) 14:49, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
