{{Mainarticle|Channel Ball Case}}
*The Channel Ball has most recently been sighted off near [[Cherbourg]]. This was on 2 June 2007 when passengers of a nearby British Cruise ship [[P&O Oceana]], who had to make an emergency stop, saw the gigantic round object which was stationary and glowing orange. The public had contacted police. It appeared around about 23:20 and disappeared at 23:52 in a sudden flash. It dwarfed the town and was hovering in the night sky producing a roman road straight path of light. This then turned to a circular motion as it almost scanned the area. It appeared as if from nowhere and rose from behind the towns skyline and increased in height.
