Under Army Transport[edit]

Under the heading Army Transport is the statement "She made numerous calls at Shanghai, China, and was said to be the last American ship to leave that port before the Communists took over the city in 1949". I attest it was indeed the last American ship. I was on this 30-day voyage Shanghai to Seattle, among the last US citizens and servicemen being evacuated by the US government. editing Mar-Apr 1963[edit]

I'm going to edit the section on the 1963 U.N trip, as it clearly doesn't adhere to the NPOV policy - "I was happy to be aboard", "Our mission....", etc. Elsquared (talk) 05:36, 29 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
