One particular voyage[edit]

For whatever it's worth, I just came across a record of travel aboard the SS President Jefferson from Shanghai to Seattle, departing 8 May 1926, arriving 23 May 1926. Among the passengers were Mathison James Montgomery, his wife Rosina Moorhead (La Ross) Montgomery, and their daughter Laura La Ross Montgomery, age two, born in Shanghai, who later married my second cousin twice removed, Eugene Edward Roberts.
