Ethics Rules[edit]

There is a circle with a message "Not allowed under federal ethics rules" but it doesn't seem to refer to anything, except maybe the * in the Endowment for the Military College. I'm not sure fi this the fix

Curling[edit]

In the spring of 2005, CIS members voted to add both men's and women's curling to its roster of sports. CIS curling competition will commence in September 2006.Was curling added? If so, then these two sentences should be deleted, and curling should be listed in the currently sponsored sports. I looked on the CIS web page, and didn't see curling listed. It was added but like Golf it is a Championship run in conjunction with the national governing body, in this case the Canadian Curling Association. --Coppercanuck (talk) 19:20, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Scholarships[edit]

I changed the section about scholarships since technically speaking, CIS schools do not offer athletic scholarships; meaning they do not award scholarships for athletic ability alone, unlike the NCAA. They do offer awards, which a minority of CIS athletes get- I provided a reference about this- but they are always tied to high academic achievement; again completely different to the States where only passing the bare minimum of course work is sufficent to keep the scholarship. The federal government and national teams like Basketball Canada do fund some athletes but this is not the university, plus private fund raisers are often called "athletic scholarships" but again, it is not part of the university's official administration. I thought it was a bit misleading to say that some CIS schools do offer partial athletic scholarships, since the NCAA does offer them.--Mikerussell 01:26, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Name Change | U Sports —> U SPORTS[edit]
