Year of Death[edit]

The German version of this article gives 1275 as his year of death. Which is correct? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.231.165.77 (talk) 16:58, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Freed gives an actual date of death. I adjusted the article. Thanks for pointing this out! LTC (Ret.) David J. Cormier (talk) 15:41, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Guelders in Netherlands[edit]

"However, the character claims to come from Guelders, which was not in Austria but rather in the Netherlands (now in the province Gelderland)."

1) The film character claimed to be from Gelderland, not from Guelders.

2) 'Gulders' is the older form of the name 'Geldern'. The city Geldern is neither in Austria nor in the province Gelderland nor in the Netherlands, but in Germany. Gelderland is in the Netherlands.

Language Reminiscent of First Person Narrative[edit]

This biography should depart from the essay it was gleaned from. I've seen too much of this on Wikipedia.--Donkeyblues (talk) 09:50, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I put in the caveat from Freed about reliance on the Frauendienst and fleshed out what I could for the bio. Obviously, further research is indicated. LTC (Ret.) David J. Cormier (talk) 15:42, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
