Non-free photo[edit]

Could this 1932 photo of the railway stop, when cropped and scaled, be used under the non-free use guidelines? – Editør (talk) 09:57, 22 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe. I think WP:NFCC #1 is satisfiable, inasmuch as the station building was demolished in 1950. Free images might exist, but creating a new one isn't possible. That said, the station building is also depicted in this picture of Westerbroek, and that image might be free, depending on when it was first published. The lack of information about the images on that site is frustrating. Mackensen (talk) 09:30, 19 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It might be worth contacting the webmaster of that site to see if they can give you any more information about the photographs, even where they sourced them from could help to identify the copyright status. I'll also ping WP:MCQ about this. Thryduulf (talk) 10:15, 19 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your replies. I agree that criterion #1 seems satisfied. More information about the photo would indeed be helpful, but I find it doubtful that the Stationsweb site could provide additional details. I would like to go ahead and add the photo to the article, but I will first post the question on WP:MCQ as you suggested. – Editør (talk) 10:47, 20 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
