Age[edit]

While I know that the MMA wikis base age off of a third party (such as Sherdog), in a recent interview two days ago, Umar himself stated that he's 27.

Wikipedia lists him as 26, which I presume is based off of sherdog. Some other sources list his birthday as January 3, while Sherdog lists it as March 1st ( The confusion stems from 1/3 vs 3/1 I believe, as some might be showing month/day, while others day/month.)

The Russian version of Umar's page primarily lists his birthdate as January 3rd by the way, but notes that it might be March 1st.

Could Umar's birthday be changed similarly to that? He himself stated his age, and while primary sources aren't typically suitable for wikipedia I think in this case it would fit Wikipedia:Verifiability#Self-published_and_questionable_sources_as_sources_on_themselves. I think in the case of a birthday it is worth considering a realistic self account as much as an independent 3rd party. Jeicex1 (talk) 21:17, 14 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Jeicex1 Understand your concern above. However, Utube is considered not reliable source. If many other independent, reliable source, in any languagues, indicate the BoD Jan 3, then pls provide them and we can change the info and place a note in the article. Thank you.
