Right-wing or Center-right[edit]

Why is it insisted that this party is a right-wing party and not center-right? They don't advocate cultural nationalism, are not stringent social conservatives, and support "national unity", which are indications that the party is close to the center. hello, i'm a member | talk to me! 17:11, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the party is closer to the center than to the far-right. I edited the article and also added Third Way to the ideology. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.28.93.249 (talk) 14:39, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The left wing parties claim to be "the center", and the right wing parties claim that too. But this is not a propaganda channel. What matters are the position in for instance economic questions and not some national unity politian talk. .....The 3rd way? Not really... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.121.6.218 (talk) 18:45, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Right-wing or Centre-left[edit]

The Social Party of National Unity is a leftist, at least centre left, political party.

The Social Party of National Unity is a leftist party that openly supports more Welfare State spending and regulations and supports Mr "Tony" Blair the former Labour Party Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. It also made an agreement with the Marxist terrorists in Colombia - in defiance of the referendum of the Colombian people that rejected this deal with the Marxists. To pretend that the Social Party of National Unity is "centre right" or "right wing", as this article does, is utterly absurd.2A02:C7D:B417:4800:8004:6B6D:BEDD:36A8 (talk) 11:34, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

According to the Spanish version of Wikipedia, the Social Party of National Unity is a right-wing liberal political party. Paul Lincoln (talk) 08:16, 30 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I changed the political position to center-left to center-right. The third way advocates both of these principles in many contexts and is usually considered right-wing by the leftists and left-wing by the rightists. This talk page reveals it in a great way. Another possibility is to label it only as "centre", but it does not make much sense to take a side in this dispute (see the very first sentence in the definition of Third Way itself). --217.30.64.202 (talk) 01:34, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
