It just occurred to me[edit]

Since the river is in New Hampshire by fiat, wouldn't all roads on Connecticut River bridges between NH and VT be carrying only the New Hampshire route? - Denimadept (talk) 04:25, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that is technically true. We can explain that little detail in the article if needed. Nice work by the way on the article. --Polaron | Talk 19:14, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I just looked up the case. It's VERMONT v. NEW HAMPSHIRE, 289 U.S. 593 (1933). Even found a useful template for citing it. I'll learn to use this Wikipedia thang soon, I promise. :-D - Denimadept (talk) 19:37, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Dang. Did more thinking. The legal cite says the state boundary is at the west side of the river at low water. The bridge goes beyond that point. Argh! - Denimadept (talk) 19:44, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
