Fair use rationale for Image:UCABEARS.JPG

Image:UCABEARS.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Removal of Fair use rationale tag

I feel that the the user has submitted a good description of their Fair use rationale for Image:UCABEARS.JPG and this tag may be removed. Linnix (talk) 04:42, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Campus Shootings

A section needs to be added related to the two students who were shot dead on 10/26/08. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.82.218.124 (talk) 20:09, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

  • I agree. This even made national headlines, which is one indicator of this story's significance (it was on Headline News). Mrobviousjosh (talk) —Preceding undated comment was added at 19:40, 28 October 2008 (UTC).
    • Actually, international.

Notable Alumni

There should be a Notable Alumni section added to the article like most other university articles have. Duchess of Bathwick (talk · contribs) 02:34, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

Based on prior experience, I recommend limiting the list to people who have articles. It saves a lot of wear and tear on people's feelings. I see you're off to a really good start. Rklawton (talk) 02:57, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

Image balance

I noticed some of the images aren't well "balanced" - they face off the page. If no one objects, I'd like to try reorganizing them a bit. The only image I'd like to remove is the one for the fine arts center. I don't think the fine arts center is well represented by a tree and a brick wall. If someone could provide an image of the auditorium (shot from above is nice) or of a stage production, that would be great (I'd leave the current image until a suitable replacement appears).
