Early comment[edit]

Virtual Infrastructure redirects to VMware Infrastructure: VMware Infrastructure is just on product of many that provide a Virtual Infrastructure Other Products are:

Citrix Access Gateway 4.5 Citrix Access Gateway 8.0 Citrix Access Suite 4.0 Citrix Password Manager Citrix XenApp IBM System x and BladeCenter Servers with IBM Director 5.20 RH401 Red Hat Enterprise Deployment, Virtualization, and Systems Management System p LPAR and Virtualization Microsoft Virtualization

Propossed fix: remove the redirect as the word 'Virtual Infrastructure' is favoring a particular product. Tobryant (talk) 13:23, 24 September 2008 (UTC)tob[reply]

It seems Virtual Infrastructure is now gone, deleted way back in November 11, 2008. The general concept should be lower case anyway. Since this product seems defunct and was never properly referenced, propose to merge into its successor, VMware vSphere which might be the more notable of the two names. Generally there is no reason to fork an article if a company renames a product, unless each one gets too long. W Nowicki (talk) 22:51, 9 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

2021[edit]

In 2021, VMware vSphere notes that "VMware vSphere" was "formerly VMware Infrastructure 4". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.128.165.234 (talk) 10:15, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
