Edit warring[edit]

Hi @Jraymond425! and @Praxidicae!,

You two appear to be edit warring. If you’re not aware what this is:

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.

I’m aware of that. However as it says above, this doesn’t mean you’re not being disruptive. I’m not aware of what’s going on, but if Jraymond is causing issues, I suggest you report that elsewhere rather than doing this. Yellowleaf23 (talk) 18:36, 6 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable sources for Wikipedia article[edit]

I would like to help improve this article, so let me just pop out some Wikipedia format for sources that talk about Val Whiting and her career.[1][2][3][4][5] Wikipedia requires us to cite reliable sources for any changes, especially for changes to the biography of a living person. Hi, it's Val Whiting. I was asked to place info here. I like how Lisa Leslie's page is formatted. I am trying to find sources for my high school career. Basketball-reference has my WNBA stats but not my ABL stats. I found this stat site a few weeks ago (it has both leagues):https://www.justsportsstats.com/wombasketballstatsindex.php?player_id=whitiva01w I just stumbled upon a WNBA archive: https://www.wnba.com/archive/wnba/shock/history/val_whiting.html It actually has ABL stats but not averages. The ABL was a league that had great players and when the league folded we all went over to the WNBA in 1999.

Hi Vwhiting, thanks for your input and those helpful links. I agree that Lisa Leslie has a lively and attractive bio. Can you document what year or episode you were a coach for MTV Made? With that information, we can look for a reliable source to include it in the bio. Similarly, it would be good if you can find a news story or even a press release about your sports color coverage TV work, because to say anything about it we need a "reliable source." I put some asterisks into your comments because, as you may have noticed, Wikipedia puts spaces where you put line breaks (unless you put 2 line breaks in a row.) Vwhiting Uploading a photo to Wikimedia will not do anything to your article. Only a person who holds the rights to the photo should upload it, because part of the process is asserting your right to upload it. Sorry I can't help you upload it, but the process is easy, step by step, and if you make a mistake or get worried you can stop part way through and try again later.
