Irish peerage, UK peerage[edit]

Lawless inherited the Cloncurry title, an Irish peerage, which became much less important after the act of Union that retired the Irish Parliament. The article says he was given an English title, in 1831.

So, I'd say the English title is the more important one.

The Dukes of Wellington also inherit an older Irish title of less value than their UK titles.

The article should list the UK tile. Maybe it should be part of the article title. Geo Swan (talk) 20:31, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
