Merger proposal[edit]

To not merge, on the grounds that readers are best served by having separate pages; distinct scope. Uncontested objection with stale discussion. Klbrain (talk) 08:37, 26 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I believe Valentino Ready-to-Wear runway collections should be merged into Valentino (fashion house) because the collections themselves are not independently notable outside of Valentino. If Valentino had subsections talking about each collection it would make much more sense. Most of these sources are reliable sources for that. Trillfendi (talk) 21:52, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I understand the instinct to merge, but many other designers have separate pages; one for their overall brand/house versus a separate one for their fashion shows/collections by season. Dior was unique in that it had very few show details to merge but others (take Chanel vs. Chanel RTW runway collections, for example) each have extensive content that might be best left separate.

We can think of this as the same way we separate many major tv show pages from separate pages dedicated to seasons and episodes of those series. They can still reference each other where appropriate, but I think they serve distinct purposes as two separate pages. Informationageuser (talk) 18:31, 4 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
