Hunger (Marvel Comics) proposed merger[edit]

It has been proposed that Hunger (Marvel Comics) be merged with this article. I thought I would kick-off the conversation by stating my reasons why I believe the two articles should not be merged:

  • Firstly, now that the article's references (or previous lack thereof) have been remedied the article meets the minimum criteria (i.e. being referenced and containing sufficient content) to exist on its own.
  • Secondly, this character is, like his counterpart Morbius given the nomenclature of "living vampire" – a distinct and separate entity/species to traditional vampires within Marvel Comics.

I would compare this to the similarities between metahumans and magic-wielders in Marvel Comics; both possess abilities and weaknesses that can be extremely similar in nature but are fundamentally different in how those abilities and weaknesses are obtained. For instance, both Morbius and Hunger obtain their abilities through science, rather than magic (an otherwise determining factor in whether one can be called a "vampire" in Marvel Comics lore). --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 10:38, 16 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

OPPOSE: Personally, I'm confused why a proposition was opened at all. The character is certainly notable, and will continue to be expanded upon - especially following the release of Morbius.--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 04:11, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Given how long this discussion has been open without anybody supporting the merger, I'm going to be bold and remove the tag. --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 10:20, 5 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
