Why does "Varney Speed Lines" redirect here?[edit]

This article is about an airline in Idaho. Varney Speed Lines was a different airline based in Alameda, CA, and operated six Lockheed Orion 9s. See http://www.fiddlersgreen.net/models/aircraft/Lockheed-Orion.html for details. 108.23.71.178 (talk) 00:49, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Founding[edit]

All railroads, and many other entities, all date their founding from the year that their first predecessor entity was founded. E.g. Rome, London, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Arizona Cardinals football team, the Atlanta Braves; all have had several different legal corporate entities, and many are the result of mergers. No writer would use the word "claims" when writing that London was founded by the Roman Legions, even though it was largely abandoned for a couple of hundred years. So I removed the words "claims", as in my view it was founded in 1926 with the founding of Varney. Nick Beeson (talk) 02:59, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
