" created in the 16th century ... lost in 1471 ..." Maybe this should be reworded, as in, "the volost was created [by the Moscow] in ... after it was lost by Novgorod in ...", or whatever the case may be? -- Vmenkov (talk) 14:13, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing this out. I didn't get a chance to review the article properly before leaving last week, which of course means I shouldn't have posted it in a hurry in the first place! To my shame, the 16th century part actually is a reference to Kolsky Uyezd, not to the volost; it stayed there as I copy-pasted parts between different articles I was working on. I have removed the sentence altogether. If you see obvious blunders like this, please don't hesitate to fix, even if the "fix" involves commenting out the parts which don't make sense.—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); April 5, 2010; 14:20 (UTC)
