I dont think this article should be merged with "vector bosons": A vector meson is a bound state of quarks and antiquarks, i.e. a composite particle, while a vector boson in general is a fundamental particle, like the W and Z bosons of the standard model of electroweak interactions.   • There is a wonderful article List of mesons that includes a list of vector mesons, all well referenced. There is no explanatory text. The text in this article would be great there. This one would become a REDIRECT. Problem solved. Rhadow (talk) 20:38, 29 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
