Current license plate format[edit]

I saw a license plate (with Rizal Monument background) with a 2003 year sticker. placing the year to 2004 is obviously wrong. Kevzspeare (talk) 01:36, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

2014 New Series Plates[edit]

  • Kindly confirm the existence of AAA and AAU in Region 1, AAA in Region 2, AAS in Region 12.
  • I had spotted a Region 9-registered delivery van bearing "AAR".
  • AFA was sighted on a small bus. It displays Region 3.

Translation concerns[edit]

I don't think "Raise Pinoy" is a good translation for "Angat Pinoy". Any ideas? 49.151.160.148 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 09:50, 8 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Coding scheme[edit]

Honestly I have no idea how the extremely convoluted and unreasonable system the LTO created in 2014 even came to be, but since the LTO came to their senses this year and reverted to the 1981 coding system where the regions are simply given whole letter blocks instead of this seemingly random lottery of 3 letter blocks, why don't we take the philippines region map from the commons and attach each letter to their respective region similar to how US phone number area code maps are done on Wikipedia to simplify this? Since frankly this is so over-done that even Germany which is famous for their license plate coding doesn't even go this en-depth on their article. --Thegunkid (talk) 01:22, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
