Hello Tomica! I will be reviewing this article shortly! Best, Erick (talk) 20:06, 29 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Lead

  • "It was digitally released as the second official single from the compilation album on April 22, 2014." Was there a second unofficial single released from the album?
  • ""Vida" is a Latin pop song that features guitar, ukulele, percussion, horn and exotic sounds with a Caribbean feel." The "exotic sounds with a Carribbean feel" part sounds like it comes directly from a review. If so, put quotations around it and cite the review stating it.
  • "Martin performed the song on several occasions including at the 2014 Latin Billboard Music Awards and on season eighteen of the Dancing with the Stars US series." Every instance of "Billboard" should be italicized.
  • After reading the critical reception, I think you should include the common nitpicks the two reviewers have in common.
  • Personally, I would leave it like this, if I include nitpicks I would probably have to add "" and then source it. — Tomíca(T2ME) 00:03, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Production and release

  • Personally, I think it would be better if you start the section with the information the FIFA song contest and then information about who wrote the song. The way it is arranged makes it sound like the song was written before the contest.
  • "...it was chosen by Martin, a judging panel and by public vote." Insert a comma after "panel".
  • "Official Song" shouldn't be capitalized since it is not a proper noun (see FIFA World Cup official songs)
  • Is the full list of personnels involved with the production of the song really necessary? Most of them don't even have articles. The credits and personnel section covers it well.

Controversy

  • Has anything happened to the lawsuit since April?

Composition

  • " It features guitar, ukulele, percussion, guitar and exotic sounds, with a Caribbean feel." See lead.
  • Done.

Reception

  • As I mentioned before, "Official Song" should not be capitalized.
  • "Following Martin's performance of the song at the 2014 Latin Billboard Music Awards "Vida" entered at number four on the US Latin Digital Songs chart after selling 6000 copies in its first week." Just to throw this out there, the Hot Latin Songs factors the Latin Digital Songs so I'm not sure this goes against WP:BILLBOARDCHARTS.
  • I removed the Chilean music charts as the chart sourced is listed at WP:BADCHARTS.
  • I would mention the Dominican and Mexican charts coming from Monitor Latino and that they're both pop charts.
  • All done, I don't see an issue with the Billboard charts, it's all according to the source. — Tomíca(T2ME) 00:03, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Music video

  • "Lund stated "The..."" How about "According to Lund: "The...""?
  • Otherwise everything looks fine here.
  • " In November 14 it was part of Ricky Martin's performance at the opening ceremony of the 22nd Central American and Caribbean Games "Veracruz 2014"." I'd just go with " In November 14 it was part of Ricky Martin's performance at the opening ceremony of the [[2014 Central American and Caribbean Games|22nd Central American and Caribbean Games]].

Misc.

References

  • No problems here.

Overall

  • This article is well-written and almost GA material. Just address the above issues and I'll gladly promote this to GA. Cheers! Erick (talk) 22:20, 29 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
