considering updating the page with info on the movement for incorporation: ajc link(JKeene 08:06, 8 January 2007 (UTC))[reply]

What's the deal with all the skyscrapers in Vinings? It seems like something that out to be in the article. Sowelilitokiemu 00:41, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Downtain/Welch[edit]

I'm removing these two supposed "Atlanta legends" from the People section. Neither is notable -- and certainly not 'legendary' by any stretch of the imagination. Furthermore, it appears that Welch may have added both his and Downtain's names himself. 72.0.15.8 (talk) 13:02, 5 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Name of town origin[edit]

Apparently the name Vinings appears 'poof' magically. Might want to look into this -- and then mention how Vinings came to be so named.GeeBee60 (talk) 12:01, 12 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Unincorporated areas and ZIP codes[edit]

Officially, Vinings, Georgia is UNincorporated. It is NOT a part of any city and is an unofficial town, recognized as a Census-Designated Place by the US Bureau of the Census. It is NOT counted as part of the population of the City of Atlanta. For those do not understand, US Zip codes are assigned for postal convenience; they are not official. That is why Vinings can use "Vinings" on mail, if the people choose to. People in Vinings do not vote in the City of Atlanta and do not pay taxes to the City of Atlanta. It really is NOT part of the City of Atlanta. It is not a "neighborhood", it is an unofficial town that has historically been its own town.Ryoung122 05:50, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
