Wimbledon boycott?[edit]

Wasn't 1977 the year of a boycott of Wimbledon by some of the leading pros? --ukexpat 20:59, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The women never boycotted Wimbledon. Tennis expert 02:42, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wade beat Chrissie Evert in the semis, so nobody can say she had an easy ride to the finals. I think the boycott over professionalization was in 1973. 130.225.25.169 07:46, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The men boycotted Wimbledon once. Never the women. Tennis expert 05:20, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Commentary[edit]

There doesn't seem to be any mention of the fact that she has long been a commentator for the BBC on Wimbledon86.176.94.138 (talk) 18:08, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

POV[edit]

Comments like "She is particularly remembered for winning" are POV or OR at best. Please work on citing these claims or making the language more neutral. The Rambling Man on tour (talk) 10:34, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed "she is partic" sentence. Jjd323 (talk) 16:57, 29 January 2009 (UTC)jjd323[reply]

Personal life?[edit]

I think a brief reference to her home life might be expected. Does she still live in England? Valetude (talk) 14:25, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, a single woman tennis player and no reference to any love interest. How strange.--2.25.122.20 (talk) 00:21, 1 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

She has always been extremely discreet about her private life and has kept a low profile outside tennis, so there's not much information in reliable sources. I agree that the complete lack of info in this article is odd though, given her notability (particularly in the UK). --Ef80 (talk) 12:44, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
