[Untitled][edit]

There was a short page entitled Vivero. I have made that page a redirect here. Here is the text of the old page. Could somebody please verify the marriage information and add it to this page?

"Vivero (Spanish for "green house") is a town in Galicia, in the province of Lugo, Spain.

In Portuguese the town's name is Viveiro or Viveiros. Juan de Vivero is said to have been a noble man from Vivero. He owned the estate where Isabella of Castile married Ferdinand the Catholic of Aragon giving birth to the Spanish kingdom and future empire."

Viveiro/Vivero indeed are one and the same place- the former is the galician spelling, the latter, spanish. Most of the present article seems to be an attempted translation of the equivalent article in es.wiki.--cjllw | TALK 09:05, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cleaning up[edit]

I will be working on this page, but slowly. The bulk of the information here is taken from the English language version of the city's official web site. I will be comparing it with the Castillian and Galego vesions and re-wording it a bit to make it English. I foresee a lot of small changes. --Sean Lotz 21:36, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gastronomy[edit]

Added proposed deletion to the 'Gastronomy' section of the page for various reasons, included a lack of proper format and seemly irrelevant information.
